Comments: He was member of the Boston school of Painting and a founding member of The Ten American Painters. After he completed his art education he earned his living as a magazine illustrator and portrait artist. He became the head instructor of the Boston Museum School from 1890-1912. In his later years he was Director of the Corcoran Gallery School of Art.
Died: August 1, 1938
