Paul Signac Biography: His early works show the influence of the Impressionists in particular Monet and Sisley. He teamed up with a group of young artists including Georges Seurat. He would adopt his technique known as "Divisionism" or "Pointillism." Being an avid sailor, seascapes were his favorite subject throughout his life.
Died: August 15, 1935
