Ricky Martin Biography: He became a member of the Latin teenage group Menudo when he was 12. He was the lead singer until he outgrew the group. He returned to Puerto Rico to complete high school. After graduation he moved to New York City. After several months of inactivity he
moved to Mexico where he acted on stage for a year. In 1991 he released his self titled debut album which he co-wrote along with fellow former Menudo member Robi Rosa often appearing under the appellation Ian Blake. In 1994 he had a recurring role on General Hospital which was so
successful it landed him a role on Broadway in the play Les Miserables. In 1995 he released his third album a hard rock effort A Medio Vivir. He released his fourth album in 1998 Vuelve. His first English pop album also entitled Ricky Martin was released in 1999 and made him an
international singing star. It included the pop singles "Livin' la Vica Loca" and "She's All I Ever Had."
