Auguste Renoir Biography: His pre-impressionist paintings demonstrate a keen eye and an outstanding ability of rendering the human
anatomy. For this reason he alone amongst all of the Impressionists was more at home with figurative work than with landscapes.
He is best remembered for his paintings of young girls at the bath usually in some country stream.
Died: December 3, 1919
