Outkast Biography: Outkast represents the Atlanta wing of the hip-hop dirty South. High school classmates Andre Benjamin (Dre) and Antwan Patton (Big Boi) were signed to the local LaFace label right out of high school.
Their single "Player's Bal" rose to number 1 on the rap charts. Their first album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik made the top 20 in the same year. Their second album ATLiens rose to number 2 on the charts.
Their follow up albums Aquemini and Stankonia went double and triple platinum respectively.
