Janet Jackson Biography: Janet was the youngest of the Jackson clan. The family moved to Los Angeles when she was 4 and she made her debut 3 years later in Las Vegas with
her famous brothers. From 1977 to 79 she was cast on Good Times and on Different Strokes in 81 and 82. She signed with A&M Records in 82 but her first 2 albums
experienced little success. Reeling from her early poor showing her father hired a new manager John McClain who had her lose weight and learn to dance. Her next album
"Control" became her first major success. In 1989 she relesed her next album "Rhythm Nation 1814" which also met with great success. On the heels of her newly garnered fame
she jumped from A&M to Virgin Records.
