Daniel Garber biography: When he completed his studies at the Pennsylvania Academy he received a fellowship to study abroad. While abroad he spent a good deal of time in England where
he did some of his most impressionistic paintings. On his return home he set up a studio in Lumbersville in Bucks county PA across the Delaware from New Hope. He became a key figure in the New Hope
art community. He developed 2 distinct styles of painting; one tradionally impressionistic and two a more decorative style. In 1919 he started teaching at the Pennsylvania Academy.
